This setup file works for both 32 and 64 bit machines. BackupAssist requires the .NET 2.0 Framework, and our installer will check this prerequisite and prompt you to install it if required (automatic process).

If you already have BackupAssist v5.x installed, please follow the instructions below to upgrade to the latest version (View 5.0.5 release notes):

1. Download the setupBA.exe installer from the link to the left.
2. If you are currently running the version 5 Beta we recommend that you complete these additional steps:
   1. Uninstall BackupAssist from your machine: Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
   2. During the uninstall process, untick the option for 'Please keep all of my jobs, reports and other settings'.
3. Run the setupBA.exe installer to upgrade to the latest version.

Note: Your settings will be migrated across automatically except if you are using the version 5 Beta.

1. Download the setupBA.exe installer from the link to the left.
2. Uninstall BackupAssist from your machine:
   Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
3. Choose 'Please keep all of my jobs, reports and other settings' during the uninstall process.
4. Run the setupBA.exe installer to upgrade to the latest version. The installer includes all the necessary files to complete the upgrade.
