Easily choose your directories and files to backup
Choose the files you wish to backup from within the BackupAssist user interface. On Windows NT, you can select directories to include (this replaces the old command-line syntax of NTBackup) with ease, and on Windows 2000/XP/2003, you can choose files and directories to include and exclude, on both local and network drives, just like in the more expensive backup software.

Email notification of Backup results
Whenever a backup is performed, a detailed log is mailed to you so you know the exact status of the backup. If for some reason a backup fails (eg. faulty tape), you will be notified so that you can take corrective action.

Reminder emails sent to your secretary or office administrator
Reminder emails are sent whenever a tape is to be changed in your tape drive. The email clearly states which tape is required in the drive, thereby minimizing the risk of human error (the wrong tape being put in on the wrong day).
